What do you mean by labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty is a surgical correction of the female genitalia, namely the labia majora and labia minora. This can be done to enhance the aesthesis of the genitalia or to enhance the sexual function of the labia majora/ minora.

Our story

We at Queen’s Gynecology did labiaplasty in a young female with complains of difficulty in intercourse, difficulty in walking and feeling uncomfortable while wearing tights to the gym. With her prior informed consent, we were able to do a wedge resection of her labia minora. Her satisfaction was instantaneous, she resumed routine activities immediately post procedure. She says, “to undergo labiaplasty was less about appearance and more about emotional healing, being comfortable and confident about yourself”.
